Edvantage group announce Accessibility Compliance with CourseBuilder v5.5

Oslo – 09 October, 2009 – Edvantage group, an e-learning company and Managed Learning Service provider, today announces the launch of CourseBuilder v5.5 which makes it possible to create WCAG 2.0 compliant interactive courses.

Accessibility compliance is mandatory in the US, UK and many other countries, and will soon become mandatory in the Scandinavian countries. The importance of being able to provide all users with access to high-quality, interactive training material is extremely important.

CourseBuilder v5.5 allows authors to easily produce high-quality, interactive courses compliant with WCAG 2.0. CourseBuilder automatically supports keyboard accessibility and use of screen-readers.

“We feel that the enhanced CourseBuilder functionalities, enabling any author to produce interactive, engaging, accessible training solutions, are unique in the market today, and shows the innovative and customer-oriented focus of our SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solutions” says Thomas Berglund, CEO, Edvantage group.

“The new accessibility functionalities in CourseBuilder will allow you to produce accessibility-compliant e-learning courses quickly and cost-effectively, which is important for many companies” says Sven Ove Sjølyst, Vice President CourseBuilder. “But for us, the main focus has been on the end users. The ability to create content which includes all types of users is extremely important, and authors can now create dynamic courses with interactive exercises and exams which are accessible when using aids like the JAWS screenreader software.”

CourseBuilder v5.5 is available from September 21st 2009. All CourseBuilder clients will gain instant access to the updates through our SaaS technologies.
