Oslo and Aalborg, March 17, 2009 - Edvantage group, a Managed Learning Service provider, has been recognised for its achievements in instructional design and learning content development by the Danish Media Communications Associations (MCA). At the official awards ceremony held 14 March in Copenhagen, Edvantage group received Gold and Silver in the category, Multimedia: Information/Education.
The Gold award was given for an e-learning programme created together with client Reitan group for 7-Eleven stores in Denmark. The induction programme '7-Eleven Basic,' contained fun, short modules for an audience of 16-22 year old 7-Eleven employees. The goal was to create a positive work attitude and pride in the organisation. Edvantage group played an active role in course development, with its pedagogical staff in place, contributing as both a consulting partner and an idea generator. The results included new courses for 7-Eleven and the development of a new service concept now being implemented in the 7-Eleven chain in Denmark.
Edvantage group received the Silver award for services provided to The Danish Chamber of Commerce (Dansk Erhverv). Edvantage group designed and developed an e-learning programme to help insurance sales agents gain in-depth knowledge about products and the relevant laws and regulations. Sales agents take the course alone or in a group setting, for example at morning meetings.
Judges of the MCA Awards 2009 praised Edvantage group for their ability to capture learners’ attention and make courses memorable
and informative. Concepts were communicated with the use of interaction and humour to make them more interesting. This is
the fifth year in a row that Edvantage group has been recognised for their achievements in learning, communications and multi-media
design.
We are honoured to accept this award together with Reitan group and The Danish Chamber of Commerce,” says John Tørring, Managing
Director, Edvantage group Denmark. “We would also like to thank the MCA Denmark for providing a forum that recognises the
outstanding achievements of production companies, service providers and clients for the innovative work they do. Through continuous
innovation in learning we will be able to provide richer educational materials and more effective learning experiences.”
