“There has been a remarkable increase in the use of e-learning amongst our staff and managers in the last quarter. The number of users logged on to the system has doubled, and we’ve also seen a doubling of registered users. This is very encouraging and I believe it demonstrates a real need in the organisation for e-learning,” says May Inger Seippel, DNV’s corporate SHE Coordinator.
International use
It is the nature of e-learning to be instantly available from your desktop at all hours of the day, barring faulty computers or slow connections.
“The availability of this type of course anytime, anywhere is a great plus and it’s gratifying to see that people from virtually every country where DNV has an office have taken an e-learning course at one time or another,” says Paul Campbell, Director of Human Resources and Organisation in DNV.
The e-learning portfolio outsourced to Edvantage group today includes SHE related topics and DNV is planning to include courses on Management and business skills later in the year.
Good results
“We have been working closely with DNV since 2003 to help make their e-learning initiative a success, and the solution has given good results particularly in the last six months,” says Thomas Berglund, CEO of Edvantage group. “Statistics for the later half of 2005 showed an impressive increase in usage.”
“The new contract is obviously very valuable to us, not least because we see DNV as a client of strategic importance. We are proud to have this opportunity to exploit the potential of e-learning together with DNV,” concludes Berglund.
