Jotun deploys e-learning from Edvantage group to meet growing needs of a global workforce

Jotun, one of the world's major manufacturers of paints, coatings and powder coatings, has selected e-learning solutions from Edvantage group to help build the skills and competence of its growing workforce of over 5,500 employees in 68 countries.

Jotun Academy is central in the development of training programs that serve many business units, department, and distributors. “We believe in providing good learning opportunities for our employees. It’s important for recruiting, building corporate culture, and ensuring our people have the required skills and knowledge they need to excel in their positions,” says Hilde Bettum, Director of Jotun Academy.

“E-learning is a new initiative for us. It will allow us to provide more training to more employees, faster and more efficiently. And, with people all around the world, it’s important they can always stay up-to-speed with what is going on in our company,” explained Bettum.

Jotun has entered a three year agreement with Edvantage group which includes the Learning Gateway (learning management system), CourseBuilder (content development tool), services and twenty-one courses on a range of topics including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, presentation and communications skills and finance for non-finance people.

“We chose Edvantage group because they could offer more than just courses and software. We felt confident that they would help us make e-learning a success during the initial roll-out and that they would be a good sparring partner as the amount of e-learning grows, ” concluded Bettum.
