New thinking shared at Learning Technologies 2009

Brighton, England - January 22, 2009 - Edvantage group, a leading e-learning company and Managed Learning Services provider, are delighted to be sponsors of this year’s Learning Technologies Conference and Exhibition. Now in its tenth year, it is Europe’s leading showcase of organisational learning and the latest technology used to support learning at work.

The theme for the 2009 conference is ‘Next Generation Learning at Work’, which is very pertinent to Edvantage group who have recently undergone transformation in the UK, through acquisition, to provide a stronger proposition which meets the emerging learning needs of  public and private organisations.

Andrea Miles, Managing Director of Edvantage group in the UK, explains “As one of Europe’s leading Managed Learning Service companies, we appreciate the challenges that the changing economy poses and the increased need for learning that has a direct impact on the business.” She continues, “We are helping a range of customers to respond, adapt and excel by providing flexible end-to-end solutions to ensure effective implementation and return-on-investment. Through Managed Learning Services we support the way our clients want to work rather than forcing them to embrace a model that is now outdated. Clients decide what to keep in-house and what is best out-sourced.”

As keen supporters of this major event, Edvantage group have a strong presence including sharing the benefits of wireframing techniques in an exhibition seminar, together with their client Ashurst, on Wednesday 28th January. The seminar highlights how some approaches to producing e-learning content stifle creativity and place too much emphasis on  documentation. It then presents a technique used to overcome this problem by creating content that not only looks good, but also can be developed more quickly and less painfully through closer buyer-supplier relationships.

Edvantage group will be exhibiting on Stand 95 where an expert team will be able to share examples of how their Managed Learning Services offering has helped a number of well known clients plus previews of the forthcoming releases of their Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products: Learning Gateway (Learning Management System) and CourseBuilder (content development tool).

Learning Technologies runs from 28-29 January at Olympia 2 in London and includes over 120 exhibitors, 50 free seminars and more than 3,000 visitors are expected.
